About this shop
We opened here in 2020 with a domestic oven and a folding table, and sold out by half past ten every day that first winter. The deck oven came through the back door in pieces the following spring and has not moved since.
Everything on the menu goes through that one oven in a fixed order between half past four and eleven. It is why bread is a Friday and a Saturday, and why catering here stops at eighty people.

Getting here
Parking. Two hours free on Mill Street. The lot behind the bookshop is shared and fills by ten.
Access. Step free from the pavement, 860mm door, accessible toilet at the back.
